ANDREW M.

Q: Has Colorado always been home for you, or did you migrate here from somewhere else?

A: No it hasn't, I was born in Kansas went to middle school and high school in Maine then back to Kansas after graduation before moving out here five years ago-2010

Q: Do you remember who or what inspired you to dive into the world of glass blowing?

A: I had a good friend who was blowing glass in Lawrence Kansas and I really liked the pieces he was making. I eventually met the guy who taught him how to blow glass and he invited me to work in his home studio. He had learned from Bob Snodgrass in Eugene in the mid 90's after selling glass for him on Grateful Dead tour.

Q: If you could be any type of glass smoking apparatus, what would you be?

A: Sherlock, my favorite shaping and one of the most traditional recognizable shapes

Q: In your opinion, what is the most challenging aspect of working with glass?

A: One of the most challenging things is self motivation. It's all on you to get it done all the time especially marketing sales and a few of the other sometimes unpleasant business aspects.

BRYAN R:

Q: Has Colorado always been home for you, or did you migrate here from somewhere else?

A: I'm a Colorado kid, growing up in Evergreen for my grade school and high school years, and then I went to school out in Gunnison, at wasted state.

Q: Do you remember who or what inspired you to dive into the world of glass blowing?

A: I had always been enthralled by the process of glassblowing that I'd seen on TV. When I first saw the high-end galleries up in Aspen and that gave me a lot of motivation to check out glassblowing. While I was at school, I discovered glass pipes and I knew that was the direction I wanted to head.

Q: What color of glass are you madly in love with right now?

A: I'm still truly in love with the colors that you can get it from consuming glass with gold and silver.

Q: Why is the Get Hi Gallery the coolest fucking store on the planet?

A: I love Get Hi Gallery, because of their location, awesome owners and employees, and unique customer base!
